Surveys suck 👎 Passive Listening is what will transform your workplace👂

A recent piece from Worklytics about passive and active listening and it had me thinking about how we approach employee feedback and engagement, especially in the age of flexible work.

"Listening" isn't just about hearing what employees say during surveys or meetings (which are claims of behaviour and are influenced heavily by recent memory/experience). It's about continuously gathering insights into their experiences, needs, and challenges - often without them having to explicitly voice them.

Passive listening reveals the true sentiment and wellbeing of the workforce, allowing employers to pre-emptively adapt to employee needs and making staff feel cared for and understood.

According to Gallup Workplace, employees who feel their employer cares about their overall wellbeing are

🚀 5x more likely to advocate their employer as a place to work

🏆 69% less likely to search for a new job; and

😁 71% less likely to experience burnout

At Blinktime, we believe in creating a work environment where data on employee needs is seamlessly integrated into daily operations.

💡 By combining passive listening with actionable insights, we can foster a culture that's not only flexible but also deeply attuned to employee wellbeing.
